The Head of the Presidential Council received the Chairperson of the African Union Commission

The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammad Al-Menfi, met in Tripoli with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed the historical relations between Libya and the African Union Commission.

Al-Menfi expressed the importance of the AU Commission’s role in achieving stability in Libya and the role it could play in the political process.

For his part, Faki affirmed the AU Commission’s support for Libya at all levels, especially in fighting illegal immigration and achieving comprehensive national reconciliation in the country. He also stressed the AU Commission’s support for the Presidential Council in establishing stability and holding the elections on time.
