UNDP and the German government singed agreement to support elections in Libya

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed an agreement with the German government to support UNDP’s Local Elections Project in Libya.

The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, attended the signing ceremony.

The Local Elections Project is being implemented in partnership with the UN Support Mission in Libya and aims at building the capacity of Libya’s transitional governance structures and facilitating citizens’ participation in political processes, through supporting the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections.
