Afforestation campaign kicked off in Tripoli

The eighth national afforestation campaign was launched on Saturday in Shat Al-Henshir area in Tripoli.

A number of families, activists, athletes took part in campaign under the theme “we plant a tree and build a homeland”.

The head of the campaign, Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that they aim to plant more than 1000 trees, adding that another afforestation campaign will take place next Friday, targeting Al-Marqab Forest, east of Tripoli.
