The Government of National Accord held a meeting to review IDPs situations

The Government of National Accord has held a meeting to discuss the crisis of the displaced people.

The meeting reviewed the aftermath of the attack on the university dormitory in Al-Furnaj area which is used to house the internally displaced persons (IDPs). Seven people were killed in the attack and several others injured in addition to the evacuation of IDPs from the site.

The Minister of State for Displaced Persons, Yousif Jalala, said at a press conference that the government will pay one-time cash amounts for the families and displaced persons.

The government will also identify the most affected municipalities and allocate cash amounts to them to help the IDPs.

Jalala added that a specialized committee will be assigned to study the situations of the IDPs, with a vision for their return after the war.
