Bani Walid University resumes classes after strike

The University of Bani Walid has resumed classes after a three-month strike over unpaid salaries.

The secretary of the university, Mohammad Al-Rabie, said that the workers’ union will follow up the results of the strike with the relevant authorities.

On the other hand, Al-Rabie indicated that the University of Bani Walid had developed an electronic system to announce exam results.

He stated that the university wishes to link this system with all higher institutes in Bani Walid to become a unified system for higher education.

He also added that the university seeks to open new faculties to meet the demands of the labor market.
