Scientific seminar on drug abuse organized by University of Tokra

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Tokra University held a scientific seminar entitled “The scourge of drug abuse, its causes and consequences and how to reduce its damages. The seminar was organized by the Department of Sociology in cooperation with the Libyan Red Crescent Society, Tokra Branch and the Training Department of the Security Directorate of Tokra.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokra, Dr. Ahmed Najm, told the #Libyan_Cloud_News_Agency that this seminar was part the framework of awareness and protection of students and society “against the danger of this scourge”. It was meant to reduce the spread among members of society and activating the role of academic guidance in universities. In order to promote the moral and social values of refusing to accept drug abuse and to educate students and warn them about the consequences of drug consumption. He thanked the Security Directorate of Tokra and the security services of the Municipality, as well as the Municipal Council and the Red Crescent Society for their cooperation.
