Libyan Cloud News Agency – Tripoli
The Coordination Office of the Presidential Candidates organized a protest in Tripoli on Sunday, in the presence of a number of presidential and parliamentary candidates.
The protest aims to maintain pressure on the High National Elections Commission to disclose the fate of the elections, set a date for holding them, and announce the final lists of candidates for the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The protesters said in a statement that stopping the elections is a crime against the Libyan people, holding the United Nations, the international community and the countries involved in the Libyan crisis accountable for the delay of the elections.
They also demanded the House of Representatives to assume its responsibilities and press for a fixed date for the completion of the electoral process.
