The Ministry of Labor launched a mobile application to register foreign workers

The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity organized a workshop in Tripoli to assess the labor market in Libya.
The participants discussed the results and recommendations of the study carried out by the Ministry in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration.
In a speech, the Minister of Labor, Ali Al-Reda, announced the launch of the “Wafed” mobile application for the registration and management of foreign workers.
The application will contribute to the process of registering and issuing work permits for the foreign worker and all procedures related to the entity or employer, as it will contain the information required for registration and the appropriate conditions for the foreign worker in accordance with the laws and legislation in force.
Al-Reda stated that the ministry has a plan to organize the labor market and find solutions to the gap that exists between the outputs of education and the labor market, as well as conducting studies to support the private sector and provide it with privileges to accommodate the large numbers of job seekers in the Libyan market.
He revealed that more than 300,000 job seekers are registered in the ministry.
