Williams and Di Maio discuss situations in Libya

The Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Libya, Stephanie Williams, held talks in Rome with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luigi Di Maio, on the latest developments in Libya.

Both sides stressed the importance of national and international consensus to support a comprehensive political process.

During the talks, which Williams described as fruitful, she expressed her gratitude for Italy’s support for mediation efforts and the various activities carried out by the United Nations in Libya.
