The Presidential Council discusses the Libyan situations with the US ambassador

The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, and his two deputies, held discussions with the US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland.

The two sides discussed ways of holding the parliamentary and presidential elections, according to a constitutional rule agreed upon by all parties.

The Presidential Council stressed the importance of Libyan control over Libyan resources, especially the oil sector, and balanced spending with attention to the regions and cities of the south in particular.

For his part, the US ambassador reiterated his country’s support for holding elections as soon as possible and for the national reconciliation project.
