The High Council of State drafted election laws

The head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Meshri, said that the Council had prepared the draft laws for the elections.

Al-Meshri said during his meeting with the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kubis, that the Council will vote on the draft laws next week to transfer them to the House of Representatives for consultation, according to the political agreement.

Two weeks ago, the High Council of State formed a committee to communicate with the House of Representatives in order to prepare proposals for presidential and legislative election laws, which are scheduled to be held on 24 December next.
