Results of Gharyan municipal council elections announced

The Central Committee for Local Elections held a press conference in Tripoli on Sunday to announce the preliminary results of the municipal council elections in Gharyan.

The spokesman of the committee, Bassem Al-Moudi, said that the turnout amounted to 67.6% of the total registered voters, all of whom submitted their votes through 35 centers and 43 stations.

He added that the number of voters reached 6,008 out of 8,879 registered voters.

Al-Moudi stated that “For You” list won the highest number of votes, which is 1,029.
