Protest in Sabha to reject the new municipal council

A number of civil society organizations in Sabha have held a protest was held in front of the municipal council.

The protesters rejected the decision of the Minister of Local Government of the Government of National Accord No. 70 for the year 2020 regarding the formation of a new municipal council for the city of Sabha.

The protesters stressed in a statement that this decision undermines the will of the voters and would increase social rift within the city.

They demanded the Minister of Local Government to revoke the decision immediately in respect of the constitutional declaration.
