Libyan and Egyptian discussions in Cairo

A member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, in Cairo on Sunday, in the presence of the Libyan Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim.
Both sides discussed the bilateral relations and issues of common interest.
Al-Lafi expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s role in supporting stability in Libya, praising the positive developments in bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of the Egyptian role in the reconstruction and development phase in Libya.
For his part, Shoukry reiterated his country’s full support for Libya to overcome the current stage.
He also stressed the importance of the exit of all mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya because of their negative impact on Libyan sovereignty and the security of Libya’s neighboring countries.
