Journalists discuss the formations of their union

The Free Voices Alliance organized a consultative meeting in Tripoli to discuss the establishment of a union for the journalists.

The attendees expressed their views and ideas about the first steps that should be taken to establish the union to defend the rights of its members.

Among the proposals made in the meeting was to gather approximately 60 male and female journalists to supervise the establishment of small syndicates in the cities and then call for a general conference to elect the union.

A member of the Free Voices Alliance, Hossam al-Tair, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the journalists participating in this meeting came up with five initiatives, calling other journalists to join in the coming meetings.
