Head of UNSMIL to brief UNSC on Libya

The spokesperson of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jean El-Alam, declared that preparations for Geneva peace talks are underway.

He said UNSMIL had received the names of the delegates of the High Council of State while it still waiting for the names of the delegates of the House of Representatives.

He added that the names should be sent to UNSMIL before noon on Wednesday, January 29. 

El-Alam also declared that the head of UNSMIL, Ghassan Salame, is expected to brief the UN Security Council (UNSC) on Libya on Wednesday, January 29.
