GNA Minister of Defense and UK ambassador met in Tripoli

The Minister of Defense of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Salah al-Din al-Namroush, received in Tripoli on Monday the UK ambassador to Libya, Nicholas Hopton, and the British military attaché, Colonel Mark Baffin.
Both sides discussed the security situation in Libya and the latest developments at the local and international levels.
Al-Namroush expressed his hope that the United Kingdom would expand the volume of military cooperation with Libya, especially those related to the training of special forces and anti-terrorist forces.
Hopton commended the role of the military and security institutions in establishing security and stability in the west of the country, stressing his country’s keenness to support security and stability in all parts of Libya.
