Egyptian Foreign Ministry: Egypt is keen on preserving Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

The spokesman of Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Hafez has refused to comment on the statement of the Libyan Foreign Ministry regarding summoning the Egyptian Chargé d’Affairs in Libya, Tamer Mustafa.

Hafez said in a press briefing that all media, newspapers and channels in Egypt work with complete freedom and that they express their point of view on various issues, explaining that the official position of the Egyptian state on Libya is expressed by the Egyptian government

He stressed that Egypt’s relationship with Libya over the past years has always been characterized by its keenness to preserve Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to meet the will of its people without external interference.
