CEN-SAD to return to its main headquarters in Tripoli soon

The Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Mohamed Issa, held discussions with the Executive Secretary of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States CEN-SAD, Brigi Rafini, in Tripoli on Monday.

Rafini’s visit to Tripoli comes within the framework of making the necessary arrangements for the return of the General Secretariat of CEN-SAD to work at its main headquarters in Tripoli.

Issa welcomed the return of CEN-SAD to Tripoli, saying that the Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush gave her instructions to harness all available capabilities to facilitate its return.

He explained that the return of CEN-SAD to Tripoli is an important signal to the world that Libya is witnessing a well-defined state of stability.

Rafini said that he had sensed a strong desire from the Libyans for the return of CEN-SAD, confirming that there is nothing to prevent the General Secretariat of CEN-SAD from returning to its headquarters in Tripoli as Libya is witnessing a stable situation in at the present time.
