A workshop on strengthening maternal and child health services for IDPs held in Tripoli

The Ministry of Health of the Government of National Accord held a workshop on strengthening maternal and child health services for internal displaced persons (IDPs) in Tripoli on Thursday, February 6.

The workshop was held in cooperation with the World Health Organization. The United States Agency for International Development funded the workshop.

Representatives from the Ministry of Health, the municipalities receiving the displaced persons, the Ministry of Local Government and the Office of Displaced Persons’ Affairs, in addition to local and international organizations that provide special services for the displaced attended the workshop.

A member of the World Health Organization in Libya, Mohammed Hashem, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the workshop aims to link the Ministry of Local Government, the municipalities and the Office of Displaced Persons’ Affairs with the Ministry of Health to provide primary health care for the displaced persons.
