198 irregular migrants arrested in Surman

The Back-up Force of Directorates has arrested 198 irregular migrants in Surman city while they were trying to across the sea illegally.
The head of the force in the western region, Brigadier General Ashraf Issa said that the migrants hold African and Asian nationalities, noting that they will be transferred to the immigration center in Tripoli.
He added that operations to combat migration have been launched since last March, confirming that the number of migrants who were arrested since March reached more than 8000 people.
