Sheep shearing season in Libya

#Libyan_Cloud_News_Agency – Benghazi.

The season of sheep-shearing starts in mid-April and continues until the end of May each year. Sheep breeders gather to cooperate to shear the sheeps before the hot summer season.

The wool is used for clothing, carpets and other industries. One of the sheep breeders, El-Hajj El-Fakhri, said that he considers the amount of wool he receives as a basic source of income: “We have an annual surplus of wool that we export to neighboring countries.”
