GECOL operates the first turbine of the West Tripoli Emergency Gas Turbine Power Plant

The General Electricity Company (GECOL) announced on Tuesday the initial operation of the first turbine of the West Tripoli Emergency Gas Turbine Power Plant, indicating that it will be entered into service within the next two days with a capacity of 185 megawatts.

The operation took place in the presence of the chairman and members of the company’s board of directors and a number of engineers from the German company Siemens.
