Fezzan Economic Zone to be established in southern Libya

A preparatory meeting was held in Sabha on Tuesday, April 14, to discuss the establishment of “Fezzan Economic Zone”.
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, and Yakeen Bank organized the meeting. Delegates from the municipalities of the southern region attended the meeting.
The participants announced the formation of a preparatory committee for the southern region consisting of Miftah Omar, Abdulbaset Abu Janah, and Mansour Al-Sriti.
In a statement to the Libyan Cloud News Agency, Abu Janah said that most of Libya’s wealth comes from Fezzan region. He added that all Libyan regions will benefit from Fezzan Economic Zone where investments and economic projects will be available to all in compliance with the general policy of the state.
