The 69th anniversary of Libyan Independence Day

A celebration was held in Tripoli on Thursday to commemorate the 69th anniversary of Libya’s Independence Day on 24 December.

The President and members of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, government ministers, and a number of foreign ambassadors accredited to Libya attended the celebration.

Speeches were delivered to highlight the importance of this occasion, and to call for unity to build the country.

The celebration also included military parades of police and army forces.
