UNSMIL urges Libyan parties to resume dialogue

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has called Libyan parties to resume the talks and to resort to dialogue as the only means to end the crisis.

In a statement, UNSMIL strongly condemned the bombing of Tripoli’s seaport by the Libyan National Army, which resulted in a number of casualties and could have led to a real disaster if the vessel transporting liquefied gas was hit.

It also called for an end to the escalation and provocative actions, especially expansion of the conflict area.
