Al-Sayeh and Kubis held discussions on the electoral process

The Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, held discussions in Tripoli with the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kubis, on ways to support the Libyan elections scheduled for December 24.

Both sides reviewed the developments of the electoral process and the progress made by the HNEC after opening the door for candidacy for the presidential and parliamentary elections.

Kubis confirmed the support of the international community, through the United Nations, for the upcoming elections, and the UN commitment to stand by the Libyans to achieve their aspirations towards the desired democratic state.
