Libyan Foreign Minister held a meeting with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, held a meeting in Tripoli on Tuesday with both the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary A. DiCarlo, and the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kubis.
The meeting focused on “Libya Stability initiative”, on the eve of the international ministerial conference on Libya, which is scheduled to be held on Thursday, October 21.
Al-Manqoush said that the aim of this initiative is to develop mechanisms and practical procedures to implement the results of the Berlin conferences on Libya.
The discussions included Security Council resolutions related to Libya, which aim to achieve stability in the country.
They also discussed the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, which are scheduled to take place at the end of next December, and the importance of implementing the outputs of the Joint Military Committee 5+5.
