Foreign Minister and EU foreign policy chief held a press conference in Tripoli

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, held a press conference with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, in Tripoli on Wednesday.

Al-Manqoush spoke during the press conference about Libya Stability Initiative and the electoral process, calling for cooperation with the EU to protect the Libyan southern borders, whether technically or by training Libyan cadres to guard the borders.

In turn, Borrell stressed the provision of support to all Libyan institutions, revealing that there will be an initiative next October to unify the military institution.

He called all foreign forces to leave Libyan territory, explaining that the European Union will play a supportive role for Libyan institutions to reform and unify the security sector.
