The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel-Hamid Dabaiba, announced the arrival of the first shipment of the new Coronavirus vaccine, saying other shipments are expected to arrive respectively.
In a speech to the Libyan people on Sunday, he indicating that one million doses of Covid-19 vaccine is expected to arrive on April 11. He revealed that his government faced difficulties in providing storage places in accordance with international standards.
Dabaiba stated that the distribution process will include all citizens and foreigners on the Libyan soil and that the distribution mechanism has been studied with the Ministry of Health.
During his speech, the Prime Minister indicated that the government has taken a number of measures to provide goods and food stuffs during the month of Ramadan despite lack of budget. He stated that oil production has reached 1.3 million barrels per day, declaring that the government is continuing to unify institutions at an accelerated pace
