Libya Post Company held a celebration in Tripoli on Saturday to launch the address and postcode project and the provision of the first postal address to the Central Tripoli Municipality.
The Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Water and Sanitation Company, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Libya Post Company, the Mayor of the Central Tripoli Municipality, and the Director of the Civil Registry attended the celebration.
The project manager said that 150 postal address signs will be installed, starting from the Central Tripoli Municipality and then other municipalities successively until the end of 2022.
During the ceremony, the Central Tripoli Municipality and the Libya Post Company signed an agreement to install postal address signs and to allocate the first postal address number to the municipal building which is 10.07.001.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Libya Post Company, Tariq Al-Shattat, told the Libyan Cloud News Agency that the project represents the spatial identity of the Libyan citizen, and one of the most important strategic projects for the Libyan state
